Sanju Samson reveals his parents’ “brave decision” to secure his cricketing future. Samson too talked around the truth that his father took retirement from Delhi Police to connect the family in Kerala. “My father tells me that he had taken me to Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. When I was 6-7 years old as he was on duty there. He said that I had my first practice with a leather ball out there. The competition is very high in Delhi and we gave the trials a couple of times but couldn’t make it. My father used to say that ‘we’ll play for Kerala, after all we are from there’.

“We abruptly left. We left our schools and arrived in Kerala within a month. My mother advised my father that we should at least complete tenth grade because there could be problems with admission. My father, on the other hand, insisted that we leave. Our parents made the brave decision to leave Delhi ” Samson revealed this to Gaurav Kapur on his show ‘Breakfast with Champions.’

Samson too talked almost the fact that his father took retirement from Delhi Police to join the family in Kerala where he worked hard to guarantee Sanju may play cricket and committed his whole energy towards making him a cricketer.

“It was troublesome for us to urge affirmation in schools but we at long last got conceded to St Josephs. I didn’t play any cricket there for many time and from there on my father took deliberate retirement from Delhi Police to associate us in Kerala and there he started taking me for sharpen and matches.

“It was a troublesome stage for the family but my guardians never made us figure it out that they were battling for us,” an passionate Samson said. Samson has played for India in T20Is and ODIs but hasn’t been able to set up himself within the national group.
