Shahrukh Khan of the Gujarat Titans demonstrated his skill by climbing up the batting order to No. 4 during Sunday’s match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Ahmedabad. Shahrukh’s superb innings not only boosted his team’s total, but also marked his debut in the IPL’s new batting order.

The Tamil Nadu batsman, known for his aggressive batting style, took the opportunity, playing a magnificent knock that resulted in his first IPL fifty. Shahrukh smacked 58 off 30 balls, including three boundaries and five massive sixes.

In response to a question about his unexpected promotion, Shahrukh said that Ashish Nehra had informed him of his spot, and he was prepared for the challenge. His readiness paid off as he put together an outstanding innings that enhanced GT’s standing and added to a decisive total of 200 runs.

“This is the first time I’ve come out to bat fourth in the IPL. Before the game, Ashish Nehra warned me that I would bat at 4, so I prepared on the bus itself. The first over spun slightly, and the pitch dried up. “The wicket is spinning, but 200 is a good score,” Shahrukh told India Today.

When asked about his tactics against spinners, Shahrukh stressed the necessity of stepping out and striking straight. His combination with Sai Sudharsan, who scored 84 runs off 49 balls, strengthened GT’s innings by putting up a critical 86-run stand.

“I just needed to step out and smash straight. We have been working in the nets with our instructors. “It’s great to play with him (Sai Sudharsan); we get along well,” Shahrukh remarked.

Looking ahead, Shahrukh voiced confidence in his team’s ability to defend the massive score. “I suppose so; 200 is enough. It’s critical to bowl well and contain them,” he said, emphasising the importance of a disciplined bowling performance in securing the victory.
