Adil Rashid backs England to defend T20 World Cup crown

Adil Rashid backs England to defend T20 World Cup crown. “We are confident. We have the team, mindset, players, and experience. Rashid believes that if we all go out there with the same belief, we will succeed.

Adil Rashid, the leg-spinner for England, is optimistic about his team’s chances of winning the T20 World Cup as cricket fans get ready for it. Rashid complimented the group for its adaptability to the Twenty20 format’s requirements.

In light of England’s miserable showing in the 50-over World Cup—they finished eighth with three victories and six defeats—Rashid underlined the importance of going into the T20 World Cup with fresh eyes.

Rashid remarked, “The 50 overs was a completely different format,” during the ECB’s national tape-ball competition launch.

Rashid reaffirmed England’s title as the current T20 World Champions despite their difficulties, emphasizing their self-assurance, background, and strong lineup.

“We are confident. We have the team, mindset, players, and experience. “If we go out there with the same belief, I think we’ll – hopefully – go all the way,” Rashid stated, expressing confidence in England’s capacity to excel in the upcoming competition.

Rashid underlined the team’s emphasis on the T20 format and their desire not to dwell on previous setbacks.

“We don’t look at it as ‘we had a horrible World Cup’ because the format is completely different. It’s 50 overs, not T20. Rashid continued, “We try not to mix both together.”

We are not thinking of what’s gone on in the past: Adil Rashid

Rashid praised England’s championship attitude when recalling their great performance in the 2022 T20 World Cup, in which they won the crown with only one loss.

“You have the mindset of a champion. We’re not thinking about what’s happened in the past; we’re not thinking about a bad World Cup or players not [being] in form because things change very quickly when you enter a tournament or the first game,” Rashid said, emphasizing the team’s focus on the difficulties ahead.
