Sam Curran will excitedly watching the IPL Auction on TV. Curran was traded to Chennai Super Kings at INR 5.5 crore ahead of the 2020 IPL season.

Following a fantastic T20 World Cup in Australia, England all-rounder Sam Curran will be on the radar of several franchises in the next IPL auction. He can take wickets at regular intervals and accelerate well in the late overs. As a result, he may be an extremely useful addition to any squad in the tournament’s 16th edition.

Curran anticipates a solid deal in the IPL auction. He is aware, though, that all-rounders such as Ben Stokes and Cameron Green are also on the list, and feels that this may impact his total pricing.

Curran, who has a base price of INR 2 crore, stated that he will be glued to the television screen as other franchises bid for him.

“I’ve participated in past auctions (as well); you enter with your starting bid. I’ll be watching the auction on television. “When your name comes up on Friday morning, I guess you simply say ‘keep the paddle up there,'” Curran stated in a video shared by ‘The Telegraph’.

“First and foremost, you must be chosen. I obviously have hopes of going somewhere. But I suppose that’s one of those things where I’m in the same category as (Ben) Stokes and a few other all-rounders who have come out, and I assume they operate in sets. So everything is possible,” the youngster continued.

Everyone believed Pakistan was a really difficult area to visit, but to win is incredible: Curran

The England all-rounder congratulated the Test team on their historic series victory in Pakistan. The Ben Stokes-led squad dominated on the Asian subcontinent, whitewashing Pakistan on their home ground. Curran remarked that it had been a crazy voyage and praised the players who participated to the journey.

“It’s been insane. The way they’ve been playing under (Test captain) Stokes and (head coach) Brendon McCullum is incredible. It started in the summer, and the greatest part is that there have been a lot of injuries, and individuals like Jonny (Bairstow), who probably started that (winning streak) and came out and provided that confidence, he’s missed out. (Now) you’ve got Brooky (Harry Brook) coming in and score three hundreds in Pakistan and he is kind of thinking ‘how would Jonny come back’. “It’s really incredible,” Curran added.

“I believe everyone felt Pakistan was an incredibly difficult region to explore. But to win is an incredible accomplishment,” he continued.
