Mike Hesson backs RCB to register victory against DC in upcoming clash

Mike Hesson backs RCB to register victory against DC in upcoming clash. Rishabh Pant will be missed by them. That is, in my opinion, a huge loss. Axar Patel will captain, um, not participate in this game. That, in my opinion, will be the key distinction between the two sides,” Hesson remarked.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face the Delhi Capitals in their next IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 match. On Sunday, May 12, both teams will face off at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the tournament’s 62nd game.

The Delhi Capitals will be without regular skipper Rishabh Pant against RCB due to a one-game suspension by the Indian Premier League for maintaining a sluggish overrate.

Pant’s absence might be a significant loss for DC, since the team is still in contention to make the playoffs, and Pant sitting out against RCB could be detrimental. Former RCB coach Mike Hesson agreed, stating that without Pant, DC will struggle to defeat Bengaluru.

“I believe both teams are highly confident going into this game. So, with two games remaining, RCB is on a roll, having won four straight. You know, I suppose DC has won three of the last four. And they are, you know, playing some excellent cricket,” Hesson told JioCinema.

“So they’ll miss Rishabh Pant. That, I believe, is a major loss. I’m not playing this game, thus Axar Patel will captain. That, in my opinion, will be the distinguishing feature between the two sides. So I believe RCB will squeak across the line. I believe, as I have stated, they are quite confident right now, and they will be dragged along by the home audience,” he continued.

Pant was suspended for one game and fined INR 30 lakh for his team’s over-rate offense in a recent match against the Rajasthan Royals

It is important noting that Pant’s contributions have been critical to the Delhi Capitals’ recovery in the IPL 2024.

The team lost numerous games in the early stages of the season, but after some lineup adjustments and the addition of Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel to the top-order, DC has been flying through the gears, and they will hope that their performance against RCB continues.
