The ICC’s stance on the India-Pakistan cricket barrier has been weakened: Ramiz Raja. ‘ICC is cautious and not transparent since India provides the entirety of ICC income. ‘ Raja explained.

The head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, has said that the International Cricket Council has yet to become involved in the story surrounding the India-Pakistan barrier because to the BCCI’s contribution to the international organization.

Due to political differences, India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012. However, the two countries have continued to play each other in ICC events, resulting in massive viewership.

Notably, Pakistan selected the hosts of the 2023 Asia Cup. However BCCI secretary and ACC President Jay Shah has reiterated that India would not be attending the event. Later, the PCB reacted by claiming that if they are not allowed to host the Asia Cup next year. They will boycott the ODI World Cup in 2023 if India is not allow to host.

Speaking on the subject, Raja made a bold declaration about a possible solution to the India-Pakistan border dispute.

I don’t believe it will change, the cricketing boards must commit: Ramiz Raja

Raja, who attended the second Multan Test between Pakistan and England, observed that India’s backing for the majority of the ICC’s money has prevented the international council from adopting a position on the matter. He went on to say that the cricketing community must work together to fix the problem.

“They are circumspect and not forthcoming because India produces the entire ICC wealth. So their position, unfortunately, is compromise as a result,” Raja said in an interview with the National. “I don’t think it’s going to change unless we have a resolve and commitment in every cricket board and our cricket fraternity works towards making it happen.”
