South Africa reached 205/5 in 20.0 overs when Rilee Roussow hit a scorching century in just 56 balls. Later, Bangladesh were bowled out for 101, giving the Proteas a 104-run victory. Bangladesh could not even get close to the mark as South Africa won in 16.3 overs thanks to Anrich Nortje’s scorching burst of 4/10. Nortje made history by taking the greatest T20 World Cup stats for a South African with four wickets.
Nortje has eclipsed Wayne Parnell’s 2009 figure of 4/13 against the West Indies. Jaques Kallis had 4/15 against Zimbabwe in 2012, while Morne Morkel had 4/17 against New Zealand in 2007.

Rossouw demonstrated his batting talent by smashing the first century of the ongoing spectacle with a 56-ball 109, while Quinton de Kock hit a fifty to propel South Africa to an impressive 205 for 5. The bowlers rallied to bowl out Bangladesh for 101 in 16.3 overs, with Nortje returning with his best T20 statistics.
Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets for Bangladesh, while Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and Afif Hossain each took one. Litton Das led the way with 34 runs while chasing 206, as no other batter reached the 30-run mark.
