SunRisers Hyderabad confirmed on Saturday the appointment of Brian Lara as their new head coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League seasons (IPL). The franchise has parted ways with Tom Moody. Who was the team’s head coach in the previous tournament, where they finish eighth in the points table.
Lara also worked as a strategic advisor and batting coach for SunRisers Hyderabad last season.
“The cricketing legend Brian Lara will be our head coach for the upcoming #IPL seasons,” SunRisers Hyderabad’s official handle also tweeted on Saturday.

Moody played for the Sunrisers from 2013 to 2019, during which time the team made the playoffs five times and won the championship in 2016.
Moreover, Sunrisers finished eighth in this year’s IPL with six wins and eight losses.
