It enabled India to defeat the world champions by a score of 10-wickets and take a 1-0 series lead. Bumrah’s performance helped him tremendously in the ICC rankings as he rose three spots to take the top spot among bowlers in ODIs.

Mohammed Shami, who bowls with Bumrah new ball. Also rose in the bowlers’ rankings as a result of his three-wicket haul against England. Moving up three spots to equal 23rd.
India’s captain Rohit Sharma led the team in scoring in that game with an unbeaten 76, but he still rank fourth among batters.
He does, however, move within one rating point of teammate and third-place batter Virat Kohli, and with continued strong performances throughout the remainder of the series, he could surpass the former skipper.
In the ICC rankings for Test bowlers, Bumrah is third, behind teammates Pat Cummins and Ravichandran Ashwin.
