When asked to bat first, Rohit Sharma’s team lost three wickets in 12 overs, scoring only 75 runs. Later, Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli seized over and drastically shifted the game’s momentum. Pandya hit 63 runs off 33 balls and Kohli hit 50 off 40 balls to help the side reach 168/6 in 20 overs.

Later, the English openers spared no Indian bowler as the target of 169 runs was chased down in just 16 overs. Chris Jordan was England’s top bowler, taking three wickets, while Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid both got one.

England will now face Pakistan in the last T20 World Cup 2022 match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
