Lamichhane went on to say that “I learned about the complaint filed against me and the false rape accusation. This has not only affected and harmed my mental health, but also my physical health.”
In discussing his mental distress, he state that he is currently in isolation without revealing his location. “All of this had a mental impact on me, and on the other hand, I had to deal with physical illness. As a result, I decided to isolate myself for a while “He stated.
Lamichhane, on the other hand, has recently stopped communicating with both the police and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
The warrant issued in his name and the publicized complaint against him mentally exhausted him.
“I have been affect mentally and physically by the portrayal of a criminal base on false allegations; I have been brought back to normal with the advice of doctors, and my health is gradually improving; and I intend to return to Nepal as soon as possible to defend the false complaint against me.”
A 17-year-old girl filed a complaint against Lamichhane, accusing him of driving her around Kathmandu and Bhaktapur all day on August 21 and bringing her to a hotel in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, where she sexually assault the same night.
Lamicchane play 30 ODIs and 44 T20Is for Nepal, taking 69 and 85 wickets in both formats. He bowls with a spin.
