Central Zone desperately needed Iyer to stay at the crease after losing half of the side for only 66 runs, and it was up to Iyer and skipper Karan Sharma to get the team out of trouble.
The good news is that Iyer return to bat after the loss of the seventh wicket. Joining his skipper Karan Sharma, who is attempting to show some resistance. Earlier in the day, Jaydev Unadkat did the majority of the damage, taking three wickets for 24 runs, while Atit Seth took two wickets for the West Zone.

Ajinkya Rahane and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the West Zone’s double centurions from the previous game, were dismiss early and will look to make amends in the second innings, once the Central Zone’s innings concludes.
