On Sunday, as Pakistan and Sri Lanka competed in the Asia Cup final at the Dubai International Stadium. Some Indian fans claim they were turn away at the gates. One fan even claimed that cops were shoving fans away because they were wearing Indian team jerseys. The ‘The Bharat Army’ Twitter account also shared a video of fans recounting their ordeal. “SHOCKING TREATMENT as The Bharat Army and other Indian Cricket Fans told they can’t enter the stadium wearing ‘India jerseys!'” the fan group also wrote on Twitter.

“The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we urge you to investigate as our members travelled all they way from India to watch the #AsiaCup2022 and have been told they can’t enter the stadium by local officials and the police! Absolutely shocking treatment!” The Bharat Army wrote in a follow-up tweet.

In addition, One fan explains in the video, which was posted from outside the stadium, how “the issue is, as an Indian fan, we were not allow inside the stadium.”

He explained, “We were literally asked to leave because we were wearing Indian jerseys.”

“Cops were yelling at us, ‘India, go out, go back.’ ‘Please do not wear this jersey.’ “another supporter revealed

They also revealed that no such directive was mentioned on the website or in emails sent to ticket holders.

In the final, Pakistan captain Babar Azam also won the toss and chose to bat.

Sri Lanka is attempting to win its sixth Asia Cup, while Pakistan is attempting to win its third.
