“Virat Kohli is an inspiration. He is such an experienced player that he is a role model in every way. Should be a member of the T20 squad. He should undoubtedly be a member of the T20 squad. One never knows when he will regain form and become a game changer. Such seasoned players should be on the team so that the younger players can learn from them “Syed Kirmani, a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning team, told Dainik Jagran in an interview.
“The team’s balance should include both experienced and young players.” In the T20 World Cup team, the ratio should be 50-50. 50 percent seniors and 50 percent children The team should be chosen in this manner.
“The Indian players are fiercely competitive. If there had been another out-of-form player in place of Virat Kohli, he would have been dropped by now. But, in my opinion, an established player like Virat should be a part of the team.”
Kohli managed only 11 and 20 in the fifth and final Test against Edgbaston, and he continued his poor form in T20Is, scoring only 12 runs in two innings.
Following that, he scored 17 and 16 runs in the three-match ODI series against England.
Kohli also had a subpar IPL 2022 season, scoring 341 runs in 16 games at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.98. During the tournament, he only managed two half-centuries.
