Eoin Morgan has come under fire recently for his poor form. But the England limited-overs captain believes he can still help his team win a World Cup. The 2022 T20 World Cup held in Australia later this year, and England will defend their 50-over World Cup in India the following year. Morgan stated that he is not looking ahead to the 2023 World Cup and is more focused on the T20 World Cup in October-November.

“That’s quite a distance (2023 World Cup). I have to get to the T20 first. I’ll take it as it comes, managing my contribution, my body, and my mind. “Morgan was quoted by ESPNcricinfo as saying this ahead of England’s ODI series against the Netherlands, which begins on Friday.
“Is it still possible for me to contribute on and off the field to the team? I will be as forthcoming as I have been with everyone since taking over as captain. At the moment, I continue to believe that I can contribute to a World Cup victory “The captain of the 2019 World Cup-winning team stated.

Morgan led England to the semi-finals of the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, where they were defeated by New Zealand.
