Former Australian cricket team spinner Brad Hogg examined why Jadeja failed as captain.

“CSK and Jadeja thought the transition was going well because Jadeja was able to get tuition and help from MS Dhoni behind the stumps.” But when it came time for Dhoni to let go of the leash and leave him to his own devices, the pressure began to build on his shoulders. Decision-making began to go awry. He couldn’t help his bowlers make the right decisions or get the right field in those crucial situations. In those high-pressure situations, I couldn’t set the right field,” Hogg said on his YouTube channel.
“When it came to his own performance, he couldn’t focus on his main role as a bowler because he was preoccupied with everyone else. He plays well when he is relaxed. He is the source of energy and team spirit. As a result, MS Dhoni was forced to take over the role.”
