Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, and Shubman Gill all hit fifty to help India score 306 for 7 in 50 overs in the opening ODI. New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee both took three wickets. Arshdeep Singh: The left-arm pacer was costly in his 8.1-over session. He gave up 68 runs and did not take a wicket.

lastyly, Yuzvendra Chahal: The leg spinner was a little pricey and failed to pick up a wicket. In his ten overs, he gave up 67 runs.
