Watch: England Cricketers Arrive in Pakistan for First Test Series in 17 Years. The cricket team from England arrived in Pakistan. Early on Sunday to play three Test matches there for the first time since 2005.

Ben Stokes, England’s Test captain, allayed everyone’s concerns nevertheless after receiving good security advice.

“It’s been a long time since England have played Test cricket in Pakistan,”

In Abu Dhabi on Friday, Stokes said.

“With what happened with Imran Khan recently, there was a little bit of concern, but we have Reg Dickason, who has been the security man for many years with England, and we left it in his capable hands.”

“In terms of the tour itself, I’m really looking forward to it,”

Stokes included.

“I’ve never been there, and I’m quite interested to see what the security lark is like. I’ve heard it’s pretty intense.”

Following the return of international cricket to Pakistan in 2015, the team and support personnel were taken there under the tight security that country has been enforcing.

After assaults on the Sri Lankan squad in 2009, Pakistan was compelle to play its home matches in United Arab Emirates neutral sites.

However, Pakistan has hosted a number of teams over the past seven years, with Australia earlier this year being the most famous.
