Jasprit Bumrah, the star pacer for India who hasn’t played since September 2022, is close to recovering fully. Bumrah has struggled with injuries throughout the year. And the news of him being out for an extended period first surfaced just before the T20 World Cup. The pacer, who is currently receiving rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, shared a video of one of his training sessions, giving fans some hope that he will return soon.
The Indian team for the trip of New Zealand does not include Bumrah. Additionally, he hasn’t been picked to the squad for the Bangladesh series. The 28-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best pacers in the game across all forms, is only beginning his rehabilitation. The pacer might not return for at least a few more months, though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet made a formal announcement to that effect.

The encouraging video of Bumrah working out was uploaded on Friday with the remark,
“Never easy, but always worth it”.
On Friday, a video of Bumrah exercising with encouragement was posted online.
He was seen performing a few jogging drills in the video.
Both the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup were missed by Bumrah this year. The Indian bowling team did suffer significantly while he was away. In reality, the team’s bad performance in the two multi-team events has been attributed in large part to Bumrah’s absence.
The BCCI is anticipated to take certain precautions to make sure the player heals well and is still in shape for the ODI World Cup, which will be held in India this year. The board will not be happy to see Bumrah miss another significant event, especially given the prominence he enjoys within the Indian squad.
