India’s team and Rohit Sharma were praise during the group stage but were chastise during the Super Four stage.

When asked to rate Rohit Sharma’s captaincy on CricTracker’s BatBricks7 Presents Run Ki Runneeti show. Jaffer said, “I was disappointed with the team selection.” I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again. The Indian team’s players can do the job and have the potential. However, I believe that the right players are not being deploy in the right situations.”

Jaffer believes that India made some drastic changes that resulted in the failed results. Former India cricketer said that instead of resting Dinesh Karthik and bringing in out-of-form Rishabh Pant, India could have continued with Dinesh Karthik, who was in good form. He dissatisfied with Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and decisions, adding:

“There was a chance that India would lose games even with those players playing. But I believe the two forceful changes that the team made after Ravindra Jadeja’s exit were not like-for-like changes. ” You had the option of playing an in-form player like Dinesh Karthik. However, you only kept Pant because you needed a left-hander, and you only used Deepak Hooda to get the sixth bowling option. That’s where the game suffered. So I’d give him a 6/10.”
