Virat Kohli, India’s star batter, struggle with the bat in recent times. His form and place in the team have been hotly debated in the cricketing world. He most recently seen in action during India’s tour of England last month. He will return to action in the Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he will use a special type of bat.
MRF, the tyre manufacturing company, will sponsor the special Gold Wizard quality bat for the upcoming continental tournament, which will take place between August 27 (Saturday) and September 11. The bat is made of expensive English willow wood and costs at least INR 22,000 in India.
Kohli is currently having no luck with the bat as he goes through one of the worst periods of his career. The former India captain, regarded as one of the best batters of his generation, has averaged just over 25 across formats with the bat this year on the international circuit, the lowest in his career for any calendar year. His previous low of 31.80 came in 2008, his rookie year.

I hope Virat Kohli doesn’t rediscover his form against Pakistan: Akram
Kohli is also experiencing his longest century drought, having gone over 1000 days without a century for India in any format. On Sunday, he will make his next appearance for India in the Asia Cup against Pakistan.
