England’s white-ball captain Jos Buttler and his predecessor Eoin Morgan are best known for their ability to hit huge sixes, but can they form a dangerous strike partnership in front of goal with Tottenham striker Harry Kane? That’s what Buttler predicted in his most recent Twitter post. The swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter also took to Twitter to share a photo with Morgan and The Hundred’s Harry Kane. Kane, the captain of England’s men’s football team, is also the country’s second-highest goalscorer, with only four goals needed to pass Wayne Rooney as England’s leading scorer.
Kane has 50 England goals, while Rooney has 53.
Moreover, Tottenham Hotspur, Kane’s team, had a strong start to the Premier League 2022-23 season, coming from behind to defeat Southampton 4-1.
This weekend, Tottenham will face London rivals Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Buttler named England’s white-ball captain earlier this year, following the retirement of Eoin Morgan from international cricket.
