The Indian and Pakistani cricket teams will face off in the 2022 T20 World Cup on October 23. Pakistan defeated India the last time the two teams met in a World Cup match. That happened in the 2021 T20 World Cup, when Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, completely dominated India. The victory was all the more significant because its the first time a Pakistani team had defeated India in a World Cup match. Prior to that victory, Pakistan had lost 12 of 13 games against India in the 50-overs and T20 World Cups combined.

Sohaib Maqsood why Pakistan has consistently losses to India at the mega event.
“The reason for the green shirts’ consistent defeat against India in World Cup matches is because the Pakistani team became overexcited,” Cricketpakistan.com quoted 35-year-old Sohaib Maqsood as saying. “However, in recent years, our team has begun to treat Indo-Pak matches normally, which has improved our performance.”
Maqsood was not included in Pakistan’s 2021 T20 World Cup squad due to injury, but he believes he can make a comeback.
“A couple of international matches over a two-decade professional career do not justify my abilities. Due to injuries, I was dropped from the national team several times. I’ve made several comebacks and continue to want to represent Pakistan “He stated.
Sohaib Maqsood has scored 781 runs in 29 ODIs and 273 runs in 26 T20Is for Pakistan.
