In a special event, Virat Kohli’s coach Rajkumar Sharma and former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan discuss Kohli’s preparation for the T20 World Cup 2024, as well as his constant communication with his coach. Sunil Yash Kalra, creator of Indian Sports Fans, hosted the debate. Which addressed various significant subjects including Kohli’s current form and plans.

Regarding the impending T20 World Cup 2024, Rajkumar Sharma shared details about his regular interactions with Kohli. He stated that he speaks with Virat every two to three days about various elements of his hitting. Furthermore, Sharma stated that Kohli informed him that he was not currently focused on any specific World Cup preparations.

Instead, he had focused on taking each match as it came

This method helps him to focus on the present moment and perform consistently without the extra strain of future events. Sharma’s comments show Kohli’s devotion to sustaining consistent performance by focusing on immediate goals rather than long-term ones.

“I talk to Virat every 2-3 days to discuss his hitting. Virat indicated that he is now focusing on one match at a time and has no particular World Cup preparations in place. ” Sharma told Indian Sports Fans founder Sunil Yash Kalra during a live show on NewsX.

On the subject of playing unconventional shots in T20 cricket, Sharma praised Kohli’s adaptability and continuous improvement. He stated that there is no reason to teach Kohli new techniques at this stage of his career. Kohli has been improving his skills on his own, as evidenced by his ability to effectively play shots such as the sweep and reverse sweep in T20 matches. This self-improvement demonstrates Kohli’s dedication to his craft as well as his willingness to broaden his shot repertoire in order to remain competitive in the fast-paced T20 format.

“There is no need to teach him anything new right now. ” He is constantly improving on his own, which is why he can play sweep and reverse sweep strokes in T20 matches,” Kohli’s childhood coach said.
