Rishabh Pant’ s outrageous reverse scoop leaves Marcus Stoinis speechless. In Match 26, Rishabh Pant scored 41 runs off 24 balls against the Lucknow Super Giants to win.
Rishabh Pant, captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC), continued his outstanding run in the IPL 2024. Scoring 41 (24) against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 26 on Friday, April 12 in Lucknow. Pant came in to bat with his team on 63/2 after seven overs. He and Jake Fraser-McGurk put on a crucial 77-run stand off 46 balls for the third wicket.
During his innings, the southpaw was at his explosive best. Hitting four fours and two sixes to help DC hunt down 168 in 18.1 overs. One of Pant’s shots stunned everyone when he effortlessly played a’reverse ramp’ to grab a boundary in the 12th over against Marcus Stoinis.
Stoinis ran in to bowl the fourth ball of the over, a full delivery just outside off stump. However, much before the ball released, Pant had set himself up to play his trademark reverse ramp. Which he executed with ease, sending the ball to third man for the boundary.
Even the commentators Deep Dasgupta and Sunil Gavaskar were left baffled with the sheer audacity of the wicketkeeper batter to play such strokes at ease at any stage of the game.

Ayush Badoni rescued LSG in the first innings
Returning to the match, LSG scored 167/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Ayush Badoni rescuing his team’s innings with a brilliant 55* (35). DC’s Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball, taking 3/20 in four overs.
In reply, Delhi chased down the target in 18.1 overs thanks to a half-century from debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk (55 off 35) and a captain’s knock from Pant. Following their victory, DC finally added two crucial points to the table, maintaining second-last place with four points. On the other hand, despite a loss, LSG remained in fourth place with six points from five matches.
