Jos Buttler reflects on his maiden IPL 2024 ton. “A little luck, but well-timed. I’m delighted to have contributed to the win. “No matter how long you play the game, you have anxiety and stress, which is not easy,” Buttler added.

The recent match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6, included some outstanding performances. After Virat Kohli scored the first century of the IPL 2024, it was time for star RR batsman Jos Buttler to follow suit.

Kohli’s unbroken 113-run knock helped the RCB score 183 runs in the first innings. Attempting to chase the objective, the hosts got off to a shaky start as opener Yashasvi Jaiswal went for a duck. However, Jos Buttler’s knock helped Rajasthan win.

Buttler struck 100* runs in 58 deliveries, enabling RR win by six wickets and securing their fourth successive win of the season. Following the game, the star opener approached the stage to reflect on his performance and how it feels to be back in form.

“A little luck, but well-timed. I’m delighted to have contributed to the win. Regardless of how long you play the game, you will experience anxiety and stress, which is difficult. The mind is a strong thing. Just believe that everything will be OK and focus on the things you have done well; keep working hard, and there is no secret to it. IndiaToday cited Buttler as adding, “You need a little luck along the way.”

I actually did feel really good in the last game: Buttler

Furthermore, Buttler stated that he felt good in his previous game, recalling his performances earlier this year, and that he only needed one innings to maintain his form.

“I actually felt really good during the last game. I had a great tournament in South Africa at the beginning of the year. Coming to the IPL, I kind of relayed from the end of that innings, where I struggled a little. Buttler said, “I felt I needed one innings to put that behind me and now look forward.”
