Yadav surprised by the excellence of his debut, as he expected more trepidation.

“I didn’t imagine my debut would be this good. Everyone said they were nervous, but after bowling the first ball, they relaxed. Everyone urged me to bowl on the stumps and use my pace. ” Mayank Yadav spoke after the encounter at the Ekana Stadium on Saturday.

The youthful speedster owed his achievement to his skipper, Nicholas Pooran, who instructed him to focus on his talents and unleash his pace against the Punjab hitters.

“At first, I thought that I would need to bowl a lot more slower balls but after the wicket assisted me. My captain told me to only bowl fast. ” said Mayank.

Mayank’s blistering pace troubled experienced batters such as Jonny Bairstow, who struggled to find his rhythm against the relentless onslaught. Reflecting on his most memorable moment, Mayank chose Bairstow’s wicket as his favorite, demonstrating his ability to make an impact at the highest level.

“My favourite wicket was my first (Jonny Bairstow). I had kept my goal of making my debut at a young age. But that was not the case. But I am pleased with my performance tonight,” Mayank concluded. Mayank’s electrifying performance, which included three crucial wickets, was instrumental in derailing Punjab’s chase of 200 runs and securing a vital victory for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Following their victory, LSG is currently ranked fifth in the league table, with two points from two games.
