The August three-match men’s T20 International series between Afghanistan and Cricket Australia (CA) has been postponed.

After consulting with the Australian Government, CA had previously announce that it will. In light of a considerable deterioration in women’s and girls’ human rights in Afghanistan. Postpone the ODI series against Afghanistan, which was originally scheduled for March 2023.

Due to this, the board has stuck to its original stance and decided to put off the bilateral series with Afghanistan.

In an effort to uphold its strong commitment to encouraging women and girls to play cricket worldwide, CA will keep up its active engagement with the International Cricket Council and close collaboration with the Afghanistan Cricket Board to ascertain what steps could be taken to facilitate the future resumption of bilateral matches.

Afghanistan impress against Ireland
