Virat Kohli becomes latest victim of Deepfake technology as scamsters misuse his face. An advertising for an app that promises big returns has gone viral on social media, featuring Virat Kohli.

The growth of technology has become both a blessing and a curse for society. As the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been common in recent years. Star India batter Virat Kohli is the latest victim of Deepfake technology. As his phony voice is being used to market a betting app. A video advertisement for an app that promises large returns on user investments has recently gone viral on social media, featuring Virat Kohli.

To make the video even more genuine, the scammers have included a footage of a well-known TV station journalist. Making it appear as if the advertisement is being presented during a live newscast. According to the commercial, Kohli earned INR 81,000 after investing only INR 1,000 over three days.

Later in the video, the scammers included a clip from Kohli’s famous interview with Graham Bensinger. Overlaid the cricketer’s actual voice with a fake one, and used technology to have him lip-sync the bogus message.

Notably, on the cricketing front Kohli has withdrawn from the ongoing entire five-match Test series against England due to personal reasons. The star batter joined the Indian camp in Hyderabad ahead of the first Test on January 22 but had to leave the same day due to personal reasons.
