Jasprit Bumrah likely to rest for Rajkot Test. Bumrah received the Player of the Match award after taking nine wickets for 91 runs in the second Test.

India will now prepare to face England in the third Test of the ongoing five-game series, having won the second game by 106 runs in Visakhapatnam to level the series at 1-1. The third game will be play on February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Jasprit Bumrah, the hero of the second Test, is expect to be rest for the third game. According to Cricbuzz, the national selectors have spoken with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about benching the ace fast, believing that a break will help him to recover for the next two games. The selectors will look into other candidates who can fill Bumrah’s slot.

Mohammed Siraj, who bench in the Vizag Test, is expect to return for the third game. The right-arm bowler is expect to lead the pace attack in the Rajkot Test. Before rejoining Bumrah for the next two games, which will be played in Ranchi and Dharamsala, respectively.

Mohammed Shami, India’s second pace option, is unable to make a comeback because he is currently abroad receiving treatment for a troublesome ankle.
