Harmanpreet Kaur on the mood of the team ahead of the T20I series against Australia. “As a cricketer, even if we are not playing international matches. We are getting match practice, so I don’t think it is too much cricket. ” Harmanpreet quoted as saying.

The ongoing multi-format series between India and Australia women will be continued with a three-game T20I series. Both teams have already met in a one-off Test match and a three-match ODI series. However, the team will now concentrate on the shorter format.

It is worth mentioning that both teams will face off in three Twenty20 Internationals on January 5, 7, and 9, respectively. The hosts will be more driven than ever to do well in the forthcoming matches after losing the ODI series. Before the first T20I, India women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur spoke about how eager the entire team is for the forthcoming matches. How everyone is in the mood for the shorter formats and ready to take on the Aussies.

“As a cricketer, even if we are not playing international matches, we are getting match practice, so I don’t think it is too much cricket but throughout the last month, there has been only one game where we have not been up to the mark but otherwise we have played really good cricket,” Harmanpreet said during the pre-match press conference.

“Many players have put in excellent performances so I don’t feel that one odd game is going. To decide how the side is feeling mentally and physically. We just finished the team meeting and everyone is looking very positive and everyone is in T20 mode and are excited over how important the T20 series is for us. ” She went on to say.
