BCCI names changes to Indian squads for Asian Games 2022. The 19th edition of the Asian Games be held in Hangzhou, China.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India revealed the national squads for both men’s and women’s cricket teams that will compete in the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou in an official release. A second-string squad has been selected as the top team is busy training for the 2018 ODI World Cup. For the women’s team, a full-strength squad chosen under the guidance of Harmanpreet Kaur.

Speaking of the squads, many youngsters who have perform well in the domestic circuit rewarded for their efforts to represent their country on an international stage. Star opener Ruturaj Gaikwad will be seen donning the captain’s hat for the men’s team. Whereas some injure and unavailable players could not make it to the squad. In addition to the 15-member squad, the cricket board has announced four standby players.

Backups for the women’s squad are Harleen Deol, Saika Ishaque. Kashvee Gautam, and Sneh Rana, while Yash Thakur, Sai Kishore, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, and Sai Sudharsan will travel with the men’s team.

Pooja Vastrakar named as a replacement for the injure Anjali Sarvani. Shivam Mavi anticipated to lead the bowling unit for the men’s squad. However due to a back issue. Has been rule out of the tournament.

The squads announced earlier stay largely unchanged. Only the injure and unavailable players have been replace with suitable substitutes. More specifically, the men’s tournament will take place from September 28 to October 8. While the women’s competition will take place between September 19 and September 28.

Men’s squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad (Captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rahul Tripathi, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Shivam Dube, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Akash Deep.

Reserves: Yash Thakur, Sai Kishore, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Sai Sudharsan

Women’s squad:
