During his magnificent performance, Kohli added another feather to his cap by being the fastest player to achieve 13,000 runs in ODIs, accomplishing the feat in just 267 innings. Kohli followed in the footsteps of his cricketing idol Sachin Tendulkar, who reached the milestone in 321 innings.
With 13,024 runs from 278 appearances at an average of 57.62 and a strike rate of 93.85. The 34-year-old is the fifth-highest ODI run-scorer. He’s only two hundreds away from tying Tendulkar’s ODI record for most hundreds. Kohli currently has 47 hundreds and needs two more to equal Tendulkar’s world record.
