You don’t have to talk to Kohli; simply divert his attention: Shoaib Akhtar. “Get Kohli busy, and if he gets busy batting, then he will win them the match,” said Akhtar.

Former speedster Shoaib encouraged his national team not to engage in discussions with flashy batter Virat Kohli ahead of the high-voltage drama between the arch-rivals in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023.

In a recent interview, Shoaib asserted in a lighthearted tone that his team will need to push Kohli. Engage in conversation during the game, and further distract him to have a chance of winning.

“You should not speak with Virat Kohli.” You simply need to push him and divert his attention. Make him do something. “And if he’s busy batting, he’ll win them the game,” Shoaib said on ‘Wake Up With Sorabh’ (YouTube Channel).

The dashing right-hander struggle to get runs against Pakistan in his maiden game. While he only scored four against the Men in Green, Kohli did not bat against Nepal in their second group stage match.

In their first meeting, Team India and Pakistan fail to get a result since the match wash out due to rainfall at the venue in Kandy. It is worth noting that the weather may play a role in the next match between the two cricketing titans in Colombo.
