Chris Broad set to officiate 350th ODI game as referee. The first One-Day International (ODI) against England and New Zealand will be Chris Broad’s 350th game.

Chris Broad, a former English batter and a well-known member of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, is due to preside his 350th men’s ODI match as a referee. He will oversee the first One-Day International (ODI) between England and New Zealand in their multi-format series.

Broad joined the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees in 2003 and made his One-Day International (ODI) debut in 2004. He also served as a referee at the ICC World Cups in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019. In addition, he has appeared in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2004, 2013, and 2017.

Broad played for England as an opening hitter during his playing career. He represented England in 25 Tests and 34 One-Day Internationals, scoring 1661 and 1361 runs in the two formats, respectively.

Sean Easey, ICC Manager of Umpires and Referees, stepped up before of his 350th men’s ODI to congratulate Broad on the remarkable feat. Broad, according to Easey, has a wealth of expertise, and his perseverance over the years has allowed him to reach this point in his remarkable career as an official.

“Chris is one of the most senior members of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, having officiated in a number of high-profile series around the world.” His perseverance and cricket experience have served him well throughout the years. “On behalf of the ICC, I would like to congratulate Chris on reaching such a significant milestone and wish him the best for his upcoming assignments,” Easey was reported as saying by the ICC.
