Jasprit Bumrah will skip the Nepal match owing to personal obligations. The cause for Bumrah’s departure from the camp remains unknown.

Due to personal reasons, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has left the camp and returned to Mumbai ahead of India’s scheduled match against Nepal in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.

The 29-year-old is fully fit and might be available for India’s next game if they qualify for the Super Four stage. In his absence, Mohammed Shami is expect to return to the playing XI. As the game against Nepal is a must-win for either team. The team that wins their first match of the Asia Cup will advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, India’s top order completely disintegrated in the match against Pakistan, failing to deliver against the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah. As a result, the goal for the forthcoming encounter will be to improve, as the Rohit Sharma-led squad want to play well in the Asia Cup 2023 and prepare well for the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Bowl out by Shaheen in the last match. While Shreyas Iyer, who is vying for the number four spot in the ODI squad, bowl out to a short ball. Shubman Gill, a youngster, also failed to create an impression.

Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya, on the other hand, played some wonderful cricket to help India record a solid score. The southpaw, who is filling in for KL Rahul due to an injury, struck 82 runs, while Pandya smashed 87 runs in Pallekele.

Due to weather, bowlers were unable to defend the total and will be looking to make a mark against Nepal. Notably, the Rohit Paudel-led side was humiliated by Pakistan in the first game of the competition. They will be hoping to bounce back, but it will not be an easy task.
