The incident happened during a CPL game between Trinbago Knight Riders and St. Lucia Kings
As a member of the St. Lucia Kings, Charles nearly escaped harm when the ball landed on his chin as opposed to sailing over the goalkeeper’s head.
Although there was no injury fear, Charles came dangerously near to being dismissed for a hit-wicket when his helmet fell and struck the stumps. Charles attempted to scoop the ball over the keeper during the 12th over of the innings, which was delivered by Dwayne Bravo. Prepared to continue his innings after a quick medical checkup.
Charles eventually demonstrated tenacity by continuing to score 37 runs off 31 balls. His assistance allowed St. Lucia Kings to give Trinbago Knight Riders a goal of 167 runs. The Knight Riders, on the other hand, struggled in their pursuit, falling for just 113 runs in just 15 overs.
Faf du Plessis, the captain of St. Lucia, expressed his satisfaction at the result. “Pleased with the outcome. I’m obviously sad to be going. We believed that the opening innings should have yielded more. We were just saying to hold the nerve,” he said after the game.
