Yashasvi Jaiswal outlines the ‘method’ that led to her early success in international cricket. During the fourth T20I against West Indies, the 21-year-old batted brilliantly, scoring 84* (51).
Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a great run with the bat in recent months, shattering records for fun with his performances. After making an impressive debut in international cricket, the southpaw struck a half-century in only his second T20I game on Saturday, August 12. The 21-year-old smashed 11 fours and three sixes in his innings to help India chase down 179 in just 17 overs during the fourth T20I against the West Indies.
Jaiswal was justifiably named Player of the Match for his outstanding batting, his second honour in four international matches. Following his dazzling innings, the youthful batting star delved into the process of his success and highlighted the importance of the seniors in his career thus far.
“I keep telling myself that I trust, that I believe, and that I will continue to do so. ” And what can I do about it? I need to work hard, be discipline, eat well, sleep well, practice hard, and chat with my seniors. We have a fantastic group of seniors, the legends. The way Rohit bhaiya, Virat bhaiya, Hardik bhaiya, and even Surya bhaiya talk to us, the way they talk and that experience… “I just try to share their experience while learning and listening. ” Jaiswalquoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
Notably, Jaiswal put on a stunning 165-run stand for the first wicket with Shubman Gill (77 off 47) off 93 balls, which set the tone for India. During their explosive connection, the duo compared to Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, but Jaiswal didn’t pay much attention to such comparisons at first.
