Danish Kaneria criticize Sanju Samson for his poor performance in the T20I series against WI. Sanju Samson has failed to capitalize on opportunities. Scoring only 19 runs in the first two matches against the West Indies.
India is on the verge of losing their first T20I series against the West Indies in six years. Trailing 0-2 in the ongoing five-match series. Hardik Pandya became the first Indian captain since 2016 to lose two consecutive T20Is against the Windies after losing the second game. The Men in Blue will have one last chance to make a comeback when they face off against Guyana in the third game on Tuesday, August 8 at Providence Stadium.
One of India’s main problems thus far in the series has been their batting. They were unable to reach more than 150 runs in the first two games. Sanju Samson, who is playing as a specialist batter in the eleven, has been one of the weakest links in the Indian batting order. However, the 28-year-old has failed to capitalize on opportunities and has only scored 19 runs in the first two matches.
Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria criticized Samson’s performance, accusing him of failing to capitalize on opportunities.
“India rested Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to give others a chance. As many have complained that a few players haven’t gotten enough chances. ” When are you going to score runs now that India has played them, Sanju Samson? He’s got his fill of opportunities. I was one of many who believed in him and wanted him to have constant opportunities. “However, he hasn’t taken advantage of these opportunities,” Kaneria remarked on his YouTube channel.

India have the last chance to make a comeback in third T20I
Making his comeback in the team after almost eight months, Samson got dismissed for 9 (38) in the second ODI but later scored a brilliant half-century (51 off 41) in the third ODI. He further registered scores of 12 (12) and 7 (7) in the first two T20Is as Indian batting failed miserably.
The 28-year-old has a great opportunity to seal his place in the team in the absence of Rishabh Pant. However, he’s been squandering his chances much to the frustration of his fans. The Trivandrum-born cricketer will be desperate for a big knock in the third game as India look to make a comeback in the series.
