Nitish Rana is honored with the position of North Zone Captain. In the Indian Premier League 2023, Nitish Rana most recently served as the interim captain of Kolkata Knight Riders.
This year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) season was Nitish Rana’s greatest as a batter. He achieved 400 runs in a single season in the lucrative league for the first time in his career. Rana scored 413 runs for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 14 games, averaging 31.77 and hitting at a 140.96 strike rate.
In addition, the two-time IPL champion team’s skipper for the 2023 season was appointed as the Delhi batter. He fill in for Shreyas Iyer, whos hurt. The KKR campaign was unsuccessful as they placed eighth in the standings with six victories and eight defeats.
The cricketing community took notice of Nitish Rana’s leadership abilities, though, and he is now in charge of the North Zone team in the next Deodhar Trophy. After the IPL concluded, the 29-year-old did not participate in any domestic cricket matches. He left off of the North Zone roster for the Duleep Trophy. The southpaw’s case for a call-up to the national team may be strengthen with a strong showing in the opening domestic white-ball match of the season.
Harshit Rana, Prabhsimran Singh, and Abhishek Sharma might eventually join North Zone
Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh, and Harshit Rana, three talented cricketers. Selected for both the North Zone’s Deodhar Trophy team and India A’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup roster. The Deodhar Trophy begins on July 24, while the Emerging Teams Asia Cup concludes on July 23. Therefore, if India A makes it to the Asia Cup final, the trio may subsequently join North Zone’s team. In which case the standby players will be given the opportunity to participate.
According to North Zone selection committee convenor Anirudh Chaudhary, “If India reaches the finals, there may be a delay in them joining the team and the stand-by players will play the first game in that case.”
