MS Dhoni undergoes keyhole knee surgery in Mumbai

MS Dhoni undergoes keyhole knee surgery in Mumbai. Dhoni has spent the entire IPL 2023 season with a severely bandaged left knee and liked to bat as late as No.8.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni successfully had knee surgery, which has been bothering him during the IPL 2023. After being hospitalised on May 31, the 41-year-old received treatment at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.

Dhoni batted at No. 8 and batted the entire IPL season with a tightly bandaged left knee. However, when the IPL 2023 concluded, he decided to seek treatment in Mumbai with Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, a sports medicine expert who had previously operated on Rishabh Pant for a similar issue.

On Thursday, June 1, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that he spoke with the 41-year-old after his operation and that he’sounded well’. However, the skipper will remain in the hospital for a few more days for follow-up check-ups before being released.

“I chatted with him after the surgery. I’m not sure what the surgery is about, but we’ve been told it’s a key-hole procedure. “He sounded fine in our conversation,” Cricbuzz said of Viswanathan.

My eyes were filled with tears, and I realized I needed to savor this: MS Dhoni

CSK won their fifth title on Monday, May 29, after a thrilling last-ball triumph over Gujarat Titans. Following the victory, Dhoni hinted at a possible return and admitted that the more difficult path would be to return and play in another IPL. He also stated that he was overcome with emotion following the miraculous victory and that he needed to savor the occasion.

“Are you looking for an answer? This is the most appropriate time to announce my retirement. But the amount of love I’ve received from people all over. “It would be easy to walk away from here, but it would be more difficult to work hard for 9 months and try to play another IPL,” Dhoni stated during the post-match presentation.

“It would be a gift from me, but it would be difficult on the body.” You do feel emotional; during my first game at CSK, everyone chanted my name. My eyes were watering, and I needed to take a break in the dugout. I realized I had to have fun with this. I think people like me for who I am; they like how grounded I am and how I don’t attempt to be someone I’m not. “Just keep it simple,” Dhoni added.
