Chandika Hathurusinghe, the head coach of Bangladesh, is dissatisfied with the level of preparation for the Ireland series. – ‘This is not ideal preparation’

In preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup, which will be played later this year. All the nations have begun assembling their ideal lineups. Hathurusinghe, the head coach of Bangladesh. Cited this in claiming that his team’s prepping for the next series against Ireland. Wasn’t optimal or as strong as he would have hoped.

Hathurusinghe noted that they haven’t had much access to the Cloud County field in Chelmsford, which serves as the series’ location, and practice time. The first game in the series will take place on May 9 in Chelmsford, as will the other two.

Because Chelmsford was holding a County Championship game between Surrey and Essex from May 4 to May 7, it should be remembered that Bangladesh arrived on May 1 and only got the chance to access the site on May 8. Following their arrival in England, they only had two training sessions in Cambridge because their exhibition game was postponed.

Chandika Hathurusinghe: ‘If we knew this is the case, we wouldn’t have agreed to this kind of schedule.’

Before their May 7 session was rained out, they did, however, manage to do a few indoor training sessions at the Fenners facility.

“It preparation is a unique situation. We are playing Ireland in England. So normally it doesn’t happen too often. I can’t blame anyone. It is the first time. If we knew this is the case, we wouldn’t have agreed to this kind of schedule. This is not ideal preparation. I won’t blame anyone. We will learn from this one,”

He said.

The former Sri Lankan all-rounder added that Bangladesh’s only interest in the outcome of this series stems from the fact that the circumstances under which they will compete in the World Cup or the Asia Cup would be entirely different. Thus, young players like Towhid Hridoy, Ronny Talukdar, and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury will have a fantastic chance to work with the senior team and acquire experience.

The club has also benefited from players like Mehidy Hasan, whose development as an all-rounder has allowed them to play an additional batter or even a bowler.

“He is a genuine batter with a Test and an ODI century. We can treat him as a genuine all-rounder. We have another genuine all-rounder in Shakib Al Hasan. We are very fortunate with our combination. He also expressed that “Any coach would love to have this luxury. We are fortunate to have two genuine all-rounders. Not many teams have that. We will use it to our advantage,”

The coach added.
