‘MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli’ – Everyone is in awe of Joe Root’s humorous response when he is asked to choose between two Indian icons. Joe Root is currently warming the bench for the Rajasthan Royals and is yet to make his IPL debut.
The first month of the Indian Premier League 2023 has been an exciting event. As all 10 franchises have put up outstanding displays of cricket. Rajasthan Royals, who finished second in the IPL 2022, have won five of their first nine games this season.
Several players have been warming the bench thus far this season. Since Rajasthan had their playing lineup figured out from the start. Joe Root is the most well-known member of the RR camp who has yet to play. The elite batter has not yet appeared in the IPL. Despite being purchased for INR 1 crore at the mini-auction held in December 2022.
With his friends Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel, Root recently took part in the entertaining “This or That” game where they had to decide whether to play for MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli. Root appeared perplexed as he remained in the center of the two, finding it impossible to decide between them.
Root is notable for having participated in 32 T20Is, scoring 893 runs at an average of 35.72 and recording five fifty-sevens. Prior to the mini-auction in 2022, the star batter had struggled to win over buyers in the IPL throughout the years.

The Sanju Samson-led team has already lost three of their past four games after winning four of their first five. RR defeated Mumbai Indians with a total of 212/7 after deciding to bat first, owing to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant century of 124 off 62 balls.
In response, Mumbai completed a thrilling chase to win the match by six wickets with three balls to spare. Despite RR’s defeat, Jaiswal was named Player of the Match for his magnificent knock. Rajasthan will play the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, May 5.
