Jodhpur is expected to host a few IPL 2023 matches. In the next competition, each club is expect to host at least nine home games.
Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur may be approve to host their maiden Indian Premier League game in the future season. The competition will be held on a pan-India basis for the first time since the COVID-19 epidemic. The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) hopes to capitalize on this by spreading the game throughout the state.

IPL 2023: The Roger Binny-led group will send a team to inspect the ground and the facilities
“It’s a request made verbally. We’ve been told that RCA has revitalize the stadium and urge us to explore Jodhpur as a new location for a few IPL games. The board would make a decision only once the recce team delivers their report. ” According to a BCCI source mentioned in the newspaper.
According to the article, the BCCI is also concerned about the stadium’s border size. Some say it is not up to the needed standard and may play a part in Jodhpur losing the privilege to host.
However, the stadium has held a few First-Class games, so RCA is upbeat about the situation overall. The ground also hosted a few Legends League Cricket (LLC) matches in 2022, which were a huge success based on the amount of fans that showed up on match days. The facility has a capacity of 30,000 spectators, so there’s a good chance that the IPL’s governing board will finally approve Jodhpur.
The Rajasthan Royals currently play their home games at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium in Jaipur. The 16th edition of the IPL is expect to commence in the last week of March.
