Delhi Capitals were very hard to beat in IPL 2020 thanks to their strong bowling attack and the same seemed to be the case in the previous match as well. Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada bowled brilliantly to ensure SRH’s inning went nowhere.
Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, and R Ashwin bowled the rest of the overs after Marcus Stoinis left the match with an apparent injury. It is unclear if Stoinis is going to be available but with the T20 World Cup approaching, we think he is going to be rested for a couple of matches at least.
We think the most likely replacement for Marcus Stoinis is going to be Sam Billings because he is an effective finisher as well.
DC has a strong batting lineup with its Indian top-order and a very well-balanced bowling attack as well. There is so much depth in this lineup that you can expect a certain level of performance from DC in most matches.
That does not make it unbeatable. It just means that the opposing teams will have to pull off something very special to beat it.
RR won its previous match from a position that was completely hopeless. WinViz had predicted RR’s chances of winning as being ZERO with the last over to be bowled. Kartik Tyagi bowled the over of a lifetime and defended four runs from the final over.
Brilliant performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mahipal Lomror, Evin Lewis, and Liam Livingstone would have raised the confidence in the group.
We think RR is going to have a tougher time in this match, though. Yashasvi Jaiswal is going to be tested by the express pace of DC’s bowlers and Evin Lewis is not very comfortable against high pace either.
We are also a bit unsure about the middle-order of RR with Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, and Chris Morris not showing much form or having played much top-level cricket off late. The onus of scoring runs is going to be on Sanju Samson and Liam Livingstone, both of who can win the match on their own.
The bowling lineup for RR is not too bad but we think the conditions are not in their favor just yet. Mustafizur Rahman needs the pitch to be slower to be more effective, Chris Morris is a bit rusty, Chetan Sakariya looked out of form in the previous match, and Kartik Tyagi is a bit unpredictable as well.
Also, the RR spin attack is the weakest in the entire IPL right now especially if they continue not to use Liam Livingstone.

The 30th match of IPL 2020 will be played on 14th October 2020 between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
DC is currently in second place on the IPL 2020 points table, having won five out of their seven matches so far while RR is in sixth place with just three wins and four losses.
DC and RR have played 21 matches against each other in the IPL. RR have won 11 matches, while DC have managed to win the remaining ten. RR have also won the IPL title once whereas DC have never lifted the IPL trophy.
When the two sides met last year, the Capitals won both the encounters. DC finished IPL 2019 in third place while RR ended up at the seventh position in the points table.
On that note, let’s look at the probable playing XIs for both teams.

Rishabh Pant will take more time to recover from his injury suffered in the previous encounter between these two teams. This means Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey should retain their places. Despite losing the last match against Mumbai Indians, there are no changes expected in the playing XI.
Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer (C), Alex Carey (WK), Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje.

With Ben Stokes coming into the equation, RR look much more balanced as a side. There does not seem to be any reason for the inaugural IPL winners to make any change to the team which defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.
This means Robin Uthappa should keep his place in the XI despite his poor form so far this season.

Delhi Capitals weren’t put under any pressure by SRH in their opening match after the suspension.
DC won with ease by 8 wickets, and reclaimed their position at the top of the IPL table.
As for Rajasthan Royals, I’m sure how they’re still even wondering how they won their previous match.
It was a great final over by Kartik Tyagi to seal the 2 runs victory. But even the most biased observer would have to admit the result was more down to Punjab Kings capitulating, than Rajasthan doing something special to win the match.
I actually think that Rajasthan are a better balanced side now than they were prior to the suspension.
In Liam Livingstone they have a destructive batsman who can win a game single handed.
On this occasion though, I’m going to have to stick with the superior batting line up and all round strength on the Captials. They are top of the table for a reason.
So Delhi Capitals is the team I think will win Match 36 of the IPL.
