Ben Stokes on Virat Kohli: “Has Earned The Right To Never Be Written Off”. For a place in the T20 World Cup 2022 finals, England and India will square off on November 10 at the Adelaide Oval.

During a press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday, England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes praised Virat Kohli and claimed that the star Indian batter can never be written out given his performances ahead of the semi-final match against India. “He has earned the right to be never written off. He has produced the numbers consistently in all three formats. We as players playing the game, never take the past results in the coming games,”

When asked about Rohit Sharma’s performance in the current T20 World Cup, Indian captain Virat Kohli stated that the batter is a world-class athlete who has proven his mettle in the short format and should never be underestimated.

“He is one of the best to play the game, especially in this format. You can’t think about their previous performances and play the game. He is a world-class player and we won’t be taking him lightly at all,”

“He has come in and set the world alight. He is a fantastic player. He plays shots that leave you scratching your head sometimes. He is in great form but we will try and get him down not allow him to get into the run pages.”

The pressure and challenge of qualifying for the World Cup and competing in the semifinals were not underestimated by Stokes.

“Facing off in the semi-final of the World Cup is going to be tough. Both groups were very tough to get through. This is a crunch time in the tournament. Which team can turn up and perform the best on Thursday will be crucial,”
