On Wednesday, Afghanistan and Pakistan played one of the best matches of the ongoing Asia Cup (September 7). While Afghanistan had it in hand in the final over. Naseem Shah did the unthinkable by hitting a couple of sixes to send Pakistan home in dramatic fashion. But the game was marred by some ugly scenes in the middle of the 19th over, and Shoaib Akhtar is furious.
Fareed Malik and Asif Ali clashed aggressively after the latter was fired, with things getting out of hand at one point. After dismissing Asif, the bowler celebrated aggressively in front of the batter, which the latter did not like and raised his bat in rage. Both players became physical as well, forcing the umpires and Afghanistan players to intervene.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his displeasure with Afghanistan’s behavior toward Pakistan. This isn’t the first time that tempers have flared between two teams’ players. While many are criticizing Asif Ali for his behavior, Akhtar believes the Afghanistan bowler was at fault and believes the behavior of their players is not correct every time the two teams play.
He compared it to Indian players, noting how both teams’ cricketers respect and hug when they meet. “Afghanistan is playing good cricket, and your team is strong, but you should make it personal.” We don’t even do this to India, India wale.
