The 2022 Tamil Nadu Premier League season got off to a dramatic start. The first match being a thriller decide in a Super Over. But there was plenty of drama elsewhere, too, with Baba Aparajith running in to bowl and running N Jagadeesan out at the non-end, striker’s prompting the opening batter to respond with a one-fingered salute. Jagadeesan caught backing up by Baba Aparajith in the fourth over of the Chepauk Super Gillies’ chase against Nellai Royal Kings. As a frustrated Jagadeesan walked back to the dugout, he raised his middle finger in the direction of the bowlers.
But Jagadeesan not finish. He made the obscene gesture again after removing his gloves.

The Marylebone Cricket Club, the custodians of cricket laws, recently reclassified the contentious runout from law 41’s ‘unfair play’ to law 38 pertaining to legitimate run outs.
Before his dismissal, Jagadeesan had made 25 out of 15 attempts.
Nellai Royal Kings had earlier scored 184/4 thanks to Sanjay Yadav’s stunning 47-ball 87 and opener Laxmesha Suryaprakash’s 50-ball 62.
In response, Jagadeesan’s opening partner scored 64 off 42 balls, but the team remained in trouble.
S Harish Kumar, on the other hand, hit two fours and a six in the final over to tie the score and send the match to the Super Over.
The Super Ghillies scored 9 runs thanks to Jagadeesan’s six off the final ball of their Super Over. The Royal Kings, on the other hand, won the first game in five deliveries.
