Following months of speculation that he would be fired by the ruling government. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja has obliquely stated that he wishes to remain in his position. For months, there has been speculation that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will soon appoint his own nominee to replace Ramiz as PCB Chairman. Shahbaz recently met with three former board members, Khalid Mahmood. Zaka Ashraf, and Najam Sethi, on cricket matters, fueling speculation that Ramiz would be told to leave.

“We can’t go on speculating for another two months. Something would have happened by now if it had to happen. Nothing will improve in Pakistan cricket unless you give continuity a chance “Ramiz stated.
“Cricket piques my interest. I have many other options. The PM is our line in-charge, and I’ve asked to meet with him to brief him on what we’re doing and our future plans. ” Ramiz stated that his goal is to improve cricket in Pakistan, and that his efforts should not be overlooked.
“We have no ego issues here; we simply want to improve Pakistan cricket. If the constitution allows a change fine but just because of tradition you should not undo the good work. ” He said.
“Why should we change if we can achieve well-defined goals at the same time? What I’ve seen is that we need to make changes in our cricket.
