IPL 2022: RCB Star Dinesh Karthik “Reprimanded” For Code of Conduct Violation. Dinesh Karthik of Royal Challengers Bangalore has been “reprimanded” for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.

Dinesh Karthik, the Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-batter, has been “reprimanded” for violating the IPL Code of Conduct, according to an official IPL media release issue on Friday. Karthik violated the Code of Conduct during RCB’s Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Moreover, RCB defeated LSG in the Eliminator, and the team will now face Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.

According to the release, “Mr. Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction.”

According to the IPL, the Match Referee’s decision is final Dinesh Karthik and binding for Level 1 violations of the Code of Conduct.

Karthik scored 37 runs off 23 balls in the Eliminator against LSG, and he and Rajat Patidar (112 not out) helped RCB post 207/4 in 20 overs.

In the end, RCB won by 14 runs and will now face Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.

After Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, RCB also advanced to the playoffs. The Royals finished fourth in the points table.


Karthik has scored 324 runs in 15 matches this season. He named to India’s Twenty20 International squad for the five-match series against South Africa.

Furthermore, This season, Karthik is averaging 64.80 for RCB and has a strike rate of 187.28, with his highest score being 66 not out against Delhi Capitals.
